Actually an 'earlier-in-the-year' hike but if you are also happy to wander around on slightly lower hills/ mountains at this time of the year, come along..
This is a public transport hike (by train, total fare WITH Oebb vorteilscard probably around 16 -18 Euros), but you can also join by car (meet us at the train station at Gruenbach am Schneeberg, take a short train ride from Puchberg to Gruenbach on the way back)
The hike must be well below your personal physical limit, and we must strictly follow the rules as announced on the website: https://www.alpineclubvienna.org/corona
From Gruenbach, we hike up the Hohe Wand via Grabenbergweg, take a little tour of the Hohe Wand plateau, have lunch at Hubertushuette or W.Eicherthuette, then continue down and up again to 'Am Gelaend'. Down from there to Gruenbergsattel from where it's just an easy (but still lenghty) stroll to Puchberg. We'll stop by at the local Konditorei for an ice cream or cake before taking the train back.
No spectacular peaks, but plenty of nice views.
