Bike Trip Vienna - Hainburg (Niederösterreich)

Description: Bike trip through the "Donauauen" (lowland forest along the Danube). Back by train (Schnellbahn). Appr. 50km, easy (level trail).

Description details: From Vienna through the Donauauen to Hainburg. Lunchtime in Orth an der Donau at the "Uferhaus" (famous fish restaurant). Then further on through the woods and over a bridge crossing the Danube to Hainburg. Back by Schnellbahn. - If there are adverse winds, we can decide right before we start either taking the train to Hainburg and doing the trip the other direction or biking from Vienna to Orth and back.

Meeting time: 9.00 a.m.

Starting and Ending Point: Vienna / Praterstern.
Meeting point: Beginning of "Prater Hauptallee".

Ending Time: 7.00 p.m. or later, depending on our shape, duration of evening social drink etc.

Train connections:
Hainburg > Wien-Nord: 17,38 > 18,49 (then always 1 hour later)
Wien-Nord > Hainburg: 8,39 > 9,50 ( -"- )

Equipment needed: Usual biking equipment. Food, if you don't like to have lunch at the restaurant. Lots of drinks anyway!!
