This is an easy Wiener Wald hike easily and quickly reachable by public transport.
ÖAV membership is not required! Just indicate "not a member" in the respective field. ***Since already 13 people have signed up, registration will be closed!***
The route: Rekawinkel - Gasthof Rieger (coffee break after 1,5 hours) - Troppberg (with the Troppbergwarte - a look-out point with a great view over Vienna, Tulln, Wachau, Schneeberg) - Purkersdorf

Duration according to Bergfex: 5,5 hours, but I don't think it will take this long. If we feel like hiking a little bit more, there is the possibility to prolong the tour and do an extra circular walk from Purkersdorf to Rudolfshöhe and back to Purkersdorf which should take another 1,5 hours.
Meeting point: Westbahnhof
Meeting time: 08:00 at the main entrance at Europaplatz
Train leaves at: 08:28 (36 minutes ride, 5,50/1,80 € without/with Vorteilscard)
Train back from Purkersdorf: every hour at xx:10, xx:52 o'clock (3,90/1,20 € without/with Vorteilscard)
As it might be still very warm in August bring enough water and snacks, as we will not have lunch anywhere.
