Description :

Following Chris's fantastic presentation in the May meeting, I have been looking forward to doing the Schneeberg again. So let's do it!

We will ascend via one of the interesting ascents (Herminensteig, Novembergrat, Nandlgrat or even the Weichtalklamm) and descend via another route. Final details will be sent to registered participants in the week before the hike.

Please note that it is a demanding hike physically, but also a head for heights is required.

Technical requirements :

T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+

Physical requirements :

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down

8-9 hrs, up to 1500m of ascent and descent

Equipment :

Sturdy hiking boots, normal alpine equipment. Sun cream/hat/glasses. Snacks and drinks.

Transport Details :

Transport details will be sent in the week before the hike. Please mention if you can offer transport. Train travel is also possible, maybe even preferable, depending on the chosen route.
