This event combines the historic Alpenvereinssteig via ferrata (Grade B) with the scenic descent via Törlweg to Hirschwang an der Rax. We will ascend through the dramatic Großes Höllental valley, reach the Rax plateau, and stop by the Ottohaus for a break before heading down Sigmund Freud's favorite trail.
This is a strenuous mountain tour, and you can join if you are fully capable of navigating a Grade B via ferrata independently, confident in scrambling over steep, exposed, and rocky terrain and you have stamina to maintain a steady, continuous pace for over 1,000 meters of elevation change.
Participants with known alpine experience or those I have hiked with previously will have priority. If we have not met before, please message me directly with a quick summary of your recent via ferratas and mountain treks from the past few months.
The event will take place only in good weather conditions, and can be postponed to Sunday or canceled otherwise.
