Circular tour via the Aflenzer Staritzen with great panoramic views. We may optionally also go from the hut to the summit the second day before breakfast (approx. 20 minutes) to watch the sunrise. With a bit of luck, we might also spot some ibexes.
Route:
Day 1: Seebergsattel - Seeleiten - Staritzen Sattel - Ochsenreichkar - Schiestlhaus (Night)
Day 2: Hochschwab Summit (sunrise) - Schiestlhaus - Graf Meran Steig - Voisthaler Hütte - Seetal - Seewiesen - Seebergsattel
This tour is quite long, even for two days – good physical condition and stamina are essential.
Stable weather conditions are a must, as there are no shelters or quick descents, especially during the ascent.
We will have to bring plenty of water as there are no places to stop for refreshments until we reach the Schiestlhaus.
A deposit will be collected from the participants in advance, to secure the reservation at the hut.
