Description :

We wan't to repeat with you a nice sunny hike we have done at nearly same time of year back in 2013. We still had some big snow fields up there, but had sooooo much sun during collecting all the hatscheeky and having beautiful views hiking all along the ridge.

 

We'll start our hike near Mariazell in Grünau at the old, shut down Hotel Marienwasserfall (836m) and walk right up through Rehgraben and Ochsenboden to Feldhüttsattel. From Hoch Kogel (1606m) it goes up and down collecting all the "Hüte": Vorderer Zeller Hut (1628m), Mittlerer Zeller Hut and finally Großer Zeller Hut (1639m) smiley

From there back to Mittlerer Zeller Hut and Zeller Sattel through Seewirtgraben back to the starting point.

 

Meeting Point: Hotel Marienwasserfall (Grünau, Mariazell)

Technical requirements :
T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness
Physical requirements :
K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :
Strong hiking boots, warm and waterproof clothing, snacks and drinks (there are no huts on the hike!)
