Please only sign up if you're sure you will attend; you've read the description and you meet the fitness level & technical requirements of the walk,  and the walk meets your expectations . It's also your responsibility to bring the appropriate equipment/ shoes & to inform yourself about the route & the area. This is not a commercially-led walk, so group members are responsible for themselves & each other. Preference will be given to AV members I have hiked with before, and/ or had the pleasure of attending their walks/ events. Thank you for your understanding.

foot note to Weichtalklamm: technical requirements: actually 'easy T 3', please see below. Normally, we don't use a helmet, but please do bring one if it makes you feel more confident, as there's always a risk of fallling stones or rocks in a gorge.

This a public transport walk.

Train/ bus to Weichtalhaus - hike through Weichtalklamm (easy Klettersteig, A, short ladders, short stretches of scrambling, no exposure - READ Up on it if you're not sure if it's for you..it's actually) to Kientalerhütte ( 2 - 21/2 hrs, you need CASH if you want a drink there..); we'll gain a bit more elevation after the break & reach the highest point of the hike at about 1500m, then skirt around Schneeberg to Almreserlhaus ( ca 1 1/2hrs);  late lunchbreak at the hut. Descent to Puchberg bia Mamauwiese/ Sebastianwasserfall (ca 2hrs).

The walk will only take place in good weather conditions.
