Last weekend the conditions for hiking in the Vienesse alps (Schneeberg) were relatively good - no much snow, almost no avalanche risk. Therefore I plan to repeat with similar hike again, in case there is an interest. This time we could go to other mountain too, for example Rax or something similar, depending on the conditions on the mountain and the avalanche risks. We could also do the hike in two days, with an overnight stay in a mountain hut. In case the hike is in one day, I'll choose which day we go (Saturday or Sunday) depending on the weather forecast and the preferences of the participants.
Participants should be physically fit and have experience in winter mountain hiking, including the use of crampons and snowshoes. Avalanche equipment might be needed, so familiarity and its proper use is essential for your safety. In case you do not own your own equipment, you can also rent it at Verleih Alpenverein (rental service).
The hike will take place only in good weather conditions and low avalanche risk.
Important: in the registation state if you are up for 1 or 2 days hike, and in case it is one day, which day you prefer, Saturday or Sunday (or there is no preference).
