This year we are changing from our annual barbeque to a picnic - the reasons for this are:
- In the last few years we have often not been able to hold the picnic due to a fire-ban, and this seems to be happening more often
- The city of Vienna has increased the reservation price from €10 to €45
- Even with this 350% increase in price, it is still not refundable in the case of cancellation (presumably even when it is cancelled due to a fire ban - which is looking very likely at the moment!)
With a picnic, we are far more flexible in the case a bad weather, and don't need to worry about a fireban. Moreover it's free!
Now we just need to come up with a good idea where we can organise this*. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to let us know!
