Description :

In the last years this winter hike became a bit of tradition, so we are going to repeat it in 2026 too. From Losenheim we will take Fadenweg, pass by Edelweisshütte and Fischerhütte to Klosterwappen (2076m)

This full-day hike, lasting between 8 to 10 hours, is a rewarding challenge with significant altitude gain. Participants should be physically fit and have experience in winter mountain hiking, including the use of crampons and snowshoes. Avalanche equipment might be needed, so familiarity and its proper use is essential for your safety. I'll notify the participants in proper time before the event takes place if we have to take it or not. In case you do not own your own equipment, you can also rent it at Verleih Alpenverein (rental service).

The hike will take place only in good weather conditions and low avalanche risk.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness
