Polish Lower Beskidy on 27 August 2025

Once upon a time I was engaded in maintaining a a small hut in the Polish Lower Beskidy. This year there is a 45-years anniversary of the hut opening which I want to attend and I thought maybe someone would be also interested joining an seeing Lower Beskidy for a few days (going back to Vienna on Sunday 31st of August).

Lower Beskidy are rather hills then mountains. Something like Upper Austria. Still a scenic area for hiking with some Lemko churches and stuff like that. Will keep us occupied with 6-7 hours of hiking a day for a few days.

The hut is small and because of the anniversary it will be crowded so we will likely end up in tents. The hut has extremaly basic facilities. Water is in the well, a toilet is an outhouse, you cook on your own on a publicly available stove, you need to bring your own supplies and the closest shop is a 1.5h walk one way. Also, guests are expected to help around (e.g. cut wood). Some people will find it cool, some not. Consider it carefully :-)

• There. As I will be in Poland before the event, you need to hop on EC106 and come to Rzeszów on your own. From Rzeszów we will go by my car.
