I've realised it's been a while I've been on these two trails and I would like to do them again and enjoy scenic views of Groesses Hollental, one of the nicest valleys in Hausberge. This route combines two B via ferratas - Alpenvereinssteig (B) and Gustav Jahn Steig (B) - with a strenuous hike. We will descend through a wild and quite steep Rudolfsteig. If everyone is up for it we will stop by Hollentalaussischt - note that this requires going the top part of Alpenvereinsteig up and down and then continuing on Gustav Jahn Steig, which is a long exposed traverse (with really nice views).
To join this hike you must be fit, be able to do B via ferrata on your own without assistance, enjoy scrambling in rocky terrain and be able to hike in a good steady pace. This trip is not recommended if this is your first hike this season with more than 1000m ascend, if you feel uncomfortable in exposed terrain or if you have knee problems. Please check the route in the link below and also check the descriptions and topos of Alpenvereinssteig and Gustav Jahn Steig before registering.
There is no open hut on the way so you must bring water for the whole day, picnic lunch and snacks.
People I know can do this tour will have preference. If you don't know me but would like to join please contact me providing infor on what ferratas and hikes you did in recent few months.
In case of bad weather the tour can be preponed to Saturday or cancelled.
