We will take the train from Vienna (8:29 Meidling) to Villach and than to Ledenitz it will take us about 5 hours to get to our strating point of the hike.
Day 1 - Hike to the Hut and to Ferlacher Spitze 9,5km + 1000 elevation;
Day 2 -Berta Hütte-Mittagskogel-Faak am See; 16km +710 elevation -1650m
train from Faak am See to Vienna. (esitmated arrival 21:30)
There are more options for the second day, depending on the weather I will decided first onsite which one we will take, please note, if we decide for the round tour some part of that tour is exposed, some wire rope secured piece included, due to danger of falling rock a climbing helm is mandatory to take with you! Our way leads over Slovenian territory, so officially you are required to take travel documents with you.
The hut has only a lager room and one night in the hut costs 15 Euro. ( Half-board is about 39 Euro without drinks)
The hut charges a fee for last-minute cancellations and no-show. I will require a deposit of 15 EUR to be paid before the 21st June 2025.
