Description :

A pretty long hike for this time of the year, with good views of Rax&Co, and a nice Hütte.

Starting in Spital am Semmering, we'll do a strenuous ascent to Kampalpe, then follow the ridge to Grosse Scheibe, then stop in Scheibenhütte for a while, and go gently down to Mürzzuschlag.

Not much snow to expect, it seems, but slippery sections for sure, so bring your Grödel.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :

Sturdy footwear and layered clothes, enough water and snacks, Grödel.

By train. There are enough trains, but very few regional, so group tickets seem not viable.
