Kreuzschober - the local mountain of the Mürzzuschlager is a popular place for enthusiasts who are looking for an attractive, easy short ski tour in a convenient location, with a very low avalanche risk. The tour leads over meadows, forest passages, forest roads and an abandoned piste, and ends with a summit experience.
The ski tour will take place if there is fresh snow and the overall avalanche risk is low in the area. It can be postponed to Sunday or canceled in case of bad weather.
Optionally, we can go in some other area not far away from Vienna where there are good snow conditions for ski touring, or even do only a hike instead (hopefully that will be not the case).
The participants should have previous experience with ski touring. Please specify in the Notes section during the registration about your ski touring experience!
