Since summer, I’ve been thinking about ways to keep kids engaged with the English language, and organizing events for kids with ACV felt like a natural choice. So, here’s our first event!
When and Where:
We’ll meet at Kletterhalle Wien on Saturday, December 7th, at 9:50 AM in the reception area. (Feel free to arrive later if that suits you better.) We’ll stay as long as the kids are enjoying themselves - climbing, bouldering, playing on the self-belays, or just having fun at the table soccer. Knowing my kids, we might be there until late afternoon, so I’ll be packing lunch for them
No Prior Experience Needed!
No previous climbing experience is required for parents or kids. I’ll be happy to teach you the basics. However, parental enthusiasm for participating and climbing is highly encouraged!
Who Can Join:
This event isn’t just for families with kids. ACV members without young children, who miss the joy of interacting with kids, are also warmly invited to join us.
Registration Details:
When registering, feel free to include the whole family in one registration. Simply enter all first names, separated by commas, in the "First Name" field. I am flexible about the number of participants - everyone is welcome!
A Few Guidelines:
- Parents are responsible for their own children.
- Parents are encouraged to speak English with each other, but it’s absolutely fine to use your usual language with your kids or significant others.
- Kids are free to communicate in whichever language they feel most comfortable.
We’re looking forward to a fun-filled day of climbing, playing, and hopefully launching a new kind of event within the club. Hope to see you there!
