Description :

Pittentaler Klettersteig (C) is a relatively short classic via ferrata about 1hr south from Vienna. It has a proper C section and it quite exposed, offering nice views. You should be fit and free from fear of heights. It is suitable from those with previous experince and if you enjoyed the C section of Moedlinger klettersteig and feel confident about trying something a bit more challenging. It si also suitable training for those who would considwer signing up for the more challenging klettersteige at Hohe Wand during the 25th Anniversary event.

I would like to combine it with a short hike to Seebenstein castle and take train from there.

The group size can be potentially extended depending ion experience of of the group.

Technical requirements :

T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+

Physical requirements :

K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down
