Description :

Pittentaler Klettersteig (C) is a relatively short classic via ferrata about 1hr south from Vienna. It has a proper C section and is quite exposed, offering nice views. You should be fit and free from the fear of heights. It is suitable for those with previous experince ( for example if you enjoyed the innitial C section of Moedlinger klettersteig) and confident about trying something a bit more challenging. It is also suitable training for those who would considwer signing up for the more challenging klettersteige at Hohe Wand during the 25th Anniversary event.

I would like to combine it with a short hike to Seebenstein castle and take train from there, making it a small round trip.

The group size can be potentially extended depending ion experience of of the group.

Technical requirements :

T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+

Physical requirements :

K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down

Transport Details :

I go by car from U6 Meidling on 9:15. If you don't show up there, I expect to meet you on 10:03 at the Gleissenfeld train station (time of arrival of the R92 / 2719)
