Description :

As the weather forecast is looking good for this weekend, let's see if there's any interest in a more gentle hike in the so-called "Wienerwiesenwald" - on the western edge of the Vienna Woods, just before it turns into the Mostviertel.

We will start from Rohrbach an der Gölsen, walk up to the Kukubauerhütte, where if it is open and there is room, we can have a light lunch, then descend to St. Veit an der Gölsen.

The planned route is about 15km long with about 500m of elevation gain and loss, and the terrain should be easy.  It should take about 4 hours. There would be possibilities to extend the hike a bit, if it turns out to be too short!

An ideal route for people new to the group who want an easy introduction into our hikes.
