Description :

The themed cycle path “Sagenhaft (legendary) around Kreuzenstein castle" connects the communities of Stockerau, Spillern, Unter- and Oberrohrbach, Harmannsdorf, Leobendorf and Korneuburg. We will have a chance to visit 13 themed stations related to the region's most beautiful legends:Der Rattenfänger (Pied Piper) in Korneuburg, das Kleinod von Kreuzenstein, das dreibeinige Teufelspferd (three-legged devil horse), das weiße Fräulein von Kreuzenstein (white lady from Kreuzenstein), die 3 Eichen (three oaks), das goldene Bründl etc. We can also visit Kreuzenstein castle, and have a lunch/drinks at some of the restaurants along the route.

The route is not considered difficult, and it has a length of some 50 km. The participants should be fit enough and have experience with similar or more difficult biking tours.

The event will take place if the weather conditions are good (otherwise will be canceled or postponed).
