A spring 2 day hike with overnight stay at the Enzianhütte. The general plan is to start in the Triesting valley (probably either Weißenbach or maybe Altenmarkt - tbd) on the first day, and walk to the Kieneck, then descend on the second day down to Hainfeld. But depending on weather conditions and other things, we may reverse it or even change one of the days completely to something shorter, in particular if the weather forecast is not looking too favourable.
The days are planned to be quite long - somewhere in the range of 15-20km and possibly up to or even over 1000m of elevation gain or loss in a day, depending on the route. The route however will be non technical simple hiking, mainly along forest paths, but as the pace is planned to be brisk and the route is quite long, a good level of fitness is required.
A deposit may be required, if requested by the hut. Note the hut is not yet confirmed, so this schedule assumes that there are places available. It looks though like they need to know numbers quickly, so I've currently set the closing date for registrations to the 16th March. So please register soon, if you're interested.
