Devinska Kobyla (Thebenberg) lays technically in Bratislava and is botanically richest area not only in Male Karpaty but in the whole surrounding region. In spring, the meadows and forests on the slopes of Devinska Kobyla burst into carpets of various flowering plants, among them many protected and very attractive species, such as iris pumila, adonis vernalis, several species of pulsatila (grandiflora, slavica), which are later accompanied by multiple orchid species and dictamnus. What we'll see will depend on the weather in March, however, there is always a lot to see on this hill between March and May.
We can finish the hike with a visit to Devin castle, an attractive castle ruin and a museum at the rock perched above the meeting of Danube and Morava (March) rivers.
The hike can be postponed or cancelled depending on the weather at the discretion of the organiser.
