Description :

A scenic classic: walking along the Semmering Railway, with beautiful viewpoints and history. It's easy but long - you should be able to walk for 21km, in winter conditions.

We'll take a train to ~~Wolfsbergkogel near~~ Semmering and finish in Gloggnitz.
First we'll walk up to the "20 Schilling Blick" to see the viaducts from above, then hike next to them, and further through Breitenstein, Klamm and Eichberg, following the hiking trail along the railway.

Depending on the weather conditions, the hike may be shifted to Saturday.

Technical requirements :

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :

Sturdy shoes, warm clothes, snacks and water. Consider bringing spikes, as it might be slippery.
