Description :

Winter hike on Klosterwappen - Schneeberg (2.076 m). From Losenheim we will take Fadenweg, pass by Edelweisshütte and Fischerhütte to the top.

It is all day hike in duration of 8 - 10 hours, with significant altitude gain, so the participants must be fit enough and prepared/having experience hiking in winter conditions in the mountains using crampons and/or snowshoes.

All participants are required to have proper winter equipment: proper winter boots, crampons and/or snowshoes (tbd according to weather and snow conditions), trekking poles, etc.

The hike will take place only in good weather conditions and low risk of avalanches (avalanche equipment might be needed).

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down

By car, in case of enough registered drivers, or by train.
