The Nandlgrat is a rewarding ridge climb (hiking and 1- scrambling) to the top of Schneeberg. Our route will take us past the Edelweißhütte, through the northern Grafensteig and the Nandlgrat to the Fischerhütte, and then on to Klosterwappen. From there we will descend via the Fadensteig and Grafenbergsteig back to our starting point.
Depending on the weather and the mood of the group on the day, we may choose to adapt the route (in particular, the descent). We may stop for a break at the Fischerhütte, but I would recommend bringing a packed lunch, in case the hut is overcrowded.
In case of bad weather, the event may be shifted to another weekend or cancelled.
Pre-requisite: Experience hiking in tricky terrain, steady footing and a head for heights, as well as good condition is required. While the ridge route is not technically difficult, there are some scrambling (1-) sections and exposed passages.
