Mala Fatra is a lovely National park in Northern Slovakia and offers a very nice travelse. I often call it the best of Carpathians because it features all typical landscapes of these mountains: grassy slopes with steep alpine meadows, rugged rocky outcrops and wild gorges. Over 3 days we will explore all of these on the way from Terchova to Vrutky.
The weather can be wet and we will also pass a gorge so good waterproof boots and rain jacket are neccessary.
You should be reasonably fit and used to longish hiking days, carrying of all your belongings and some food and water, and some easy scrambling (chains and ladders, difficulty of A/B klettersteig but without a klettersteig set - not needed).
Because we will traverse, the start and end of the hike are at diffeent locations, we will go by public transport.
I have to prebook accomodation and will ask for a deposit. We will sleep in a B&B in Stefanova village (cca 40-50e per person per night) and at a mountain hut (cca 15e for bed in zimmerlager, one must bring own sleeping bag).
The hike will take place in any weather, in case of rain with adapted route but we will have to reach the hut on foot - for determined hikers :) The routes are safe in snow conditions.
