Krummbachstein from Kaiserbrunn to Payerbach via Lackabodenhütte (second try) on 10 June 2023

The hike is a moderately challenging trek through the beautiful Rax-Schneeberg mountain range. The trail is approximately 16 kilometers long and will take approximately 6-7 hours to complete. The hike starts in Kaiserbrunn and ends in Payerbach, passing through the stunning alpine scenery of the Schneeberg and Rax Mountains.

There will be some huts on the way, especially Naturfreundehaus Knofeleben, which is a beautiful modern hut where we can have lunch, however as this is quite a long hike, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring some snacks if you feel peckish along the route.

When we have finalised numbers, I will make a reservation at the hut. 

In case of bad weather the hike may be postponed to Sunday, another weekend or cancelled at the discretion of the organiser.

By public transport, train to Payerbach, then bus to Kaiserbrunn, this will take ~1hr 30mins. On the way back, train from Payerbach back to Wien, this will take ~1hr.
