Description :

Ebenstein in Styria is the most prominent peak in the western part of the central Hochschwab plateau. On a clear day, the free-standing summit region of the Ebenstein offers great panorama of Voralpen, Ötscher , Gesäuse, Dachstein and Saualpe.The hike is very difficult and strenuous . There could be still snow in the upper parts of the mountain.Therefore, the participants must be already experienced and fit enough and prepared/having experience in such conditions.

Itinerary: Jassing car park (SH 884m) - Sonnschienalm - Sonnschienhütte - Kleiner Ebenstein (1,943m) - Ebenstein (2,123m) and back the same way.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down
