A  hike into the Wienerwald to celebrate the arrival of spring.  

From the main square in Perchtoldsdorf, we will walk into the Foehrenberg Nature Park up to the Gasthaus Kugelwiese and stop for a snack/lunch. Then we'll walk along the old Lichtenstein road on the ridge. Somewhere along here, we'll find a nice patch of bärlauch for picking.

We'll continue to the Josefswarte with its excellent views of the Danube Valley and Vienna.  From here we'll walk back to Perchtoldsdorf.

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths

By public:  From Vienna, take the S3, departing from Wein Hauptbahnhof at 10:02 (Zug #29389) to Liesing. From Liesing, bus 256 to Perchtoldsdorf Marktplatz, arriving at 10.32. (You will likely need to purchase a bus ticket.)

To return, we can either return the same way or walk a bit further to Rodaun and take the 60 tram  to Hietzing U4, depending on weather.

If you choose to drive, please meet up with the group at the bus stop, just below the church and tower at the end of the Marktplatz, 10:32.
