When did you practice with your avalanche beacon the last time? Do you know how to organize your group to quickly and efficiently rescue your companion(s)? Did you ever dig out a body from snow?
Important steps for “companion rescue” will be explained and practiced at a concentrated evening of theory and a day at a simulated "avalanche debris field". Further points concern the emergency equipment as well as a background of medical related rescue techniques.
Especially important is the training in the group-use of avalanche transceivers during an avalanche accident.
Technical Requirements: ST1 (some experience in ski mountaineering or snowshoeing, interest in improving independent and self-assured actions)
