An impressive and scenic, but also long and demanding round trip over the Eisenerzer Reichenstein, past the picturesque Krumpensee.
The ascent from the Hirnalm via the Krumpenhals and the Reichenhals to the Eisenerzer Reichenstein is significantly longer than from the Präbichl, but also much less frequented.
A very special highlight is the Krumpensee, which has been under nature protection for some time, where we can hopefully observe a rare Alpine crested newt (Triturus carnifex).
There are some 2.30 hours drive from Vienna to Hirnalm, and the hiking time is approx.7.30h, so the participants should be fit enough and prepared to endure the hike.
