Description :

A two day hike in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge starting from Reichraming and finishing in Windischgaste, staying overnight at the Ebenforst Alm at about 1100m of elevation. The hikes will be relatively long (20km+) but technically not difficult. Due to the length of the hike, a good level of fitness is required, as the pace will be reasonably brisk.

The hike will be based on this hike: https://www.bahn-zum-berg.at/ooe-voralpen/durchquerung-des-reichraminger-hintergebirges/ although I do reserve the right to make some modifications to the route.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down

In total about 1500m of ascent, up to 9hrs on day 1 (depending on chosed route)

Equipment :

Warm and waterproof clothing, ankle high hiking boots, lunch for both days, drinks, sheet sleeping bag + anything else you need for an overnight stay

Transport Details :

We will travel by train. Train times for the outward journey and meeting details will be provided to registered participants. Car travel is not practical, due to different starting and finishing points.
