A hike from the Weichtalhaus in the Höllental, north of the Rax, via the very steep Rudolfsteig to Klobentörl, Scheibwaldhöhe and Predigtstuhl to the Karl Ludwig Haus. From here we will descend the Schlangenweg down to Preiner Gscheid.
Although there is nothing technically difficult on the route, the total ascent for the day is over 1500m, and the distance is around 14km, and as we are limited in time by the bus schedule, only people who are fit and can walk longer distances at a brisk pace may join this hike.
Towards the end of the route there are two possible huts for something to eat and drink (Karl Ludwig Haus or the Waxriegel Haus), but we should take some lunch with us to eat beforehand.
If the weather is not ideal for this hike, the plans may be changed or the hike cancelled, at the discretion of the organiser.
