Description :

An easy one day hike of about 15km with about 500 metres of ascent. We can start off with a coffee in Heiligenkreuz if we want, then lunch at the hut on the Peilstein, and finally a descent to the train station in Weissenbach, where there are trains back to Vienna every hour.

Hike will only take place if the conditions are nice for hiking. If the weather forecast is bad for Sunday but good for Saturday, there may be an option to move the hike forward a day.

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :

Depending on the snow/ice conditions Grödel (spikes) might be useful. Take warm and waterproof clothing, depending on the weather forecast, and a few snacks and hot and optionally cold drinks.

We will travel to Heiligenkreuz by train and bus, then return by train. All details will be sent to registered participants.
