Public transport hike..details will be sent to all registered participants prior to the hike!

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

5 - 6 hrs or 7-8 hrs, depending on route; 700 - 800m in total

hiking gear, sturdy, ankle-high boots, rain gear, water & food supplies

Transport Details :

Public transport only possible (departure point and end point of the walk are different!).

We will start from Weißenbach train station and walk to Furth an der Triesting, and up from there to Gaisruck (ca. 1000m). In case of good weather condition we will continue to Kieneck; if the weather is less favourable, we will cut the hike short and descend from Gaisruck. The longer route amounts to about 7hrs walking time, the shorter one to about 5 - 6 hrs. Both options end at Thal, from where we will take the bus to Pernitz, and then the train back to Vienna
