Rax traverse with some easy klettersteig fun - from Hinternasswald to Hollental. From Hinternaswald we take the Baerenlochsteig (B) and continue to Scheibwaldhoehe (1942m), the second highest bump on Rax. From there we descent with hopefully some lovely Schneeberg views and decide depending on time whether we'd walk down Kesselgraben and pass the Gloggnitzer huette or take the route towards Gaislochsteig (B) and end the hike at Weichtalhaus.
This is not technically difficult hike, but it is pretty long route (cca 18km) and because we'll need to rely on public buses good stamina (and rather swift walking pace) is needed. In principle this hike is suitable for people without previous ferrata experience but surefootedness and confidence in a rocky terrain are a must.
The route will be something like this:
Bring picnic lunch, snacks, enough fluids, warm clothes, sturdy hiking boots.
3G rules apply
In case of bad weather the hike can be postponed to Sunday or another weekend.
public transport hike (or by car and park at the Weichtalhaus in time to hop on the bus to Hinternasswald)
very likely I will meet you the directly in the bus to Hinternasswald but I will communicate public trasportation details from Vienna
