Description :

Moved to Sat 11.9 from Sun 12.9

My personal favourite ridge hike up the Schneeberg - technically not difficult, but a head for heights and good condition are both necessary, as there are some steep and somewhat exposed parts, and ascent (and descent) are around 1400m.

The descent will be chosen depending on our mood, the weather etc. on the day. It could be a simple walk down, or a steeper "Steig" such as the Fadensteig.

We may have a hut stop somewhere on the plateau, but I recommend bringing some lunch, as the huts are often very overcrowded at weekends on the Schneeberg.

This event will only take place if the weather forecast is good. It may be moved forward to the Saturday, if the weather forecast is significantly better.
