We travel by train on Friday mid-late afternoon to Payerbach-Reichenau, from where we walk the approx 2hrs through the "Eng" up to the Knofeleben Hut, where we stay overnight.
The following morning we continue either over or round the Krummbachstein up to the Schneeberg summit, then descend either to Losenheim or Puchberg, from where we take the bus/train back to Vienna on Saturday evening. Exact route will depend on weather and conditions.
The second day is long with well over 1000m of elevation gain, and significantly more elevation loss, so only suitable for fit hikers who can manage long distances at a brisk pace. We will only take people we know.

Probably travel out either on the train leaving 15.35 or 16.35 from Wien Meidling, but details will be given to registered participants.
