Description :

This year's Snowshoe and Sauna weekend will take us to the Hotel Draxlerhof in Hohentauern.  The hotel is at an altitude of 1250m and there are a few possibilities for snowshoeing very close by (possibly even directly from the hotel). Cross country skiing is also possible there, according to the hotel's website.  We will plan the exact routes depending on weather and snow conditions. Alpenvereinaktiv.com suggests routes to nearby with up to about 1000m of ascent, so a good level of fitness will be required, and preferably snowshoe experience. Difficulty level: SSW2

We will travel there Friday mid-afternoon, arriving for dinner in the evening, so will have all day Saturday and most of Sunday for our activities. Return to Vienna on Sunday evening.

Accommodation including breakfast costs €93 for 2 nights per person, and this must be payed in advance to the trip leader. Cancellation is possible until 4th Feb with a full refund.  After this date, a refund will only be possible if someone else takes the place (regardless of weather and conditions). The trip leader will contact participants soon after they register to give information how to pay the accommodation costs. The registration is only secured once this has been payed.
