This year our traditional glühweinmarathon will take place at supposedly the most romantic Christmas market in lower Austria - renaissance castle Rosenburg.
Various activities are making this event unique - the castle complex shines in contemplative candlelight, there is pyrography, regional exhibitors and craftsmanship, concerts and readings, punch and glühwein stands, Waldviertel delicacies, falconry demonstrations etc.

Admission to the castle: 6 Euro per person, for children up to 6 years admission is free, from 6 years 3 Euro
We will departure by train most probably at 10 AM from Vienna. Ticket price is some 20 euros in one direction or 10 euros with Vorteilscard 66, and travel time is 1h 30 min. We will check if there is opportunity to get group discount as well. The plan is to get off the train at Gars am Kamp and make 2 hours hike to the castle (~8 km), via Etzmannsdorf am Kamp. There is an option for people that don't want to do the hike to continue with the train to Rosenburg am Kamp and go directly to the castle (if that is the case, please note it during the registration!).
Return back to Vienna is in the evening from Rosenburg am Kamp train station. Please note that most likely we have to walk from the castle to the train station (~40 min), unless there is some organized transport and we decide to use it. Therefore, bringing headlamp is also reccomendable.
Registration is required and open to non-members too, so you can invite your friends and family too.
