Karl-Kantner-Steig is short and easy via ferrata (A/B) - a nice alternative to the normal Schlangenweg to Karl-Ludwigshaus and Heukuppe - the highest point of Rax. After we reach the hütte, we continue to the highest point of Rax - Heukuppe (2007 m). Upon return, the plan is to cross southern wall of the Predigtstuhl via Bismarcksteig (B) and subsequently descent on the easy Waxriegelsteig. (1.5 hours) back to Preiner Gscheid.
Lunch break is planned for the Waxriegelhaus, on the return back.
Sure-footedness is required! The event will take place only the weather is nice and there is no snow on the route, which cannot be guarrantied for the first half of November. Otherwise, it will be postponed for the next season.
By public transport, unless there are enough registered drivers to go by car.
