Weichtalklamm is the largest gorge at Schneeberg. It offers spectacular views and is especially popular during the summer days because of the fresh and cool air, as the cliffs cover the sun the most of the day.
The gorge is narrow and slippery at some points, so sure-footedness and reasonable level of caution is required. Some parts are secured with iron ladders or chains, but still no climbing equipment is obligatory.
The highest point we will reach is Kienthalerhütte (1380 m), where a rest and lunch/snack can be made. Then we return back by chosing different trail (we will avoid return through the gorge).
