Description :

This hike's aim is to practice your ferrata climbing skills. Firstly to practice the layback technique (aka friction step). Secondly to know your gear better so it helps you instead of bothering you.

As all practicing should be done in a safe environment we will go on an easy to approach and rather short C or C/D ferrata around Vienna (my first guess is the Währingersteig).

Technical requirements :

T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+

Physical requirements :

K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down

around 4 hours but it can be easily make sorter or longer according to our needs

Equipment :

required: ferrata set, harnes, helmet; optionally: sling, up to 3 locked carabiners, prusik loop
