The first meeting of the Alpine Club Vienna took place in September 1999. This makes our September meeting this year a special anniversary meeting:
20 Years of the Alpine Club Vienna
We will take a nostalgic look back through the last 20 years. How did the club start? Who were the members? What obstacles did we have to overcome, to make the club into what it is today?
After that we will have some refreshments in the Alpenvereinhaus, where we have the meetings. If after this we are still hungry and/or thirsty, we can still go on to the Casa Romana afterwards...
I would like to encourage as many of our currently active members, as well as our friends from the past to come along and join us for this meeting.
I would ask people to register their attendance for the meeting by the 28th August, so we have an idea of numbers for ordering the refreshments.
As for all meetings, non members are of course also welcome to attend. For registration, please just enter "Non-Member" or something similar in the membership number field.
