Description :

This Year´s Slovenia trip will lead us to a really nice area of Kamnik-Savinja alps. 

We will start the journey on Friday around mid-day from Vienna, and return on Sunday evening. There is a 4 hours drive from Vienna to Jezersko, where will start the hike.

Plan of the hike

1st Day (July 5th): Ferrata Ceska koca (2 hours, 550 v.m.), overnight stay at Mountain hut Češka koča (point 3)

2nd Day (July 6th): Long crossing of the whole mountain range: Dolgi hrbet (2374m), Skuta (2532m), Turska gora (2251m), overnight stay at Kamnik saddle mountain hut  (point 8) (9 hours, 1400 v.m.)

3rd Day (July 7th): Morning descent to Okreselj and then ascent to Koroska rinka (2433m) (point 11) (7 hours, 1300 v.m.)

Via ferrata Ceska koca on the first day is rated as D (but harder, lower section can also be skipped), other days more like B, some short sections up to C and 1+, and a lot of high alpine hiking. Head for heights is absolutely required!

Technical requirements :
T3, I feel fine in difficult technical conditions and have mountain experience. I can manage to climb up and down without a rope on routes of climbing difficulty UIAA grade 1+
Physical requirements :
K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down
