27 May - Friday: Arrival to Sarajevo

28 May 2016/Five Lakes: Leaving Sarajevo at 7 am. Leaving at 900 meters altitude, reaching 1800 meters, the tour takes us around 5 lakes on Treskavica mountain: Turov stan, Zmijsko, Crno, Veliko and Platno jezero. This mountain is filled with natural springs, 365 have been counted so far. We will visit natural formations on the mountain, Kazani… Don't have to bring water, you could replenish there. Bring your own sandwiches and sweets. Climb: 1000 m, K2 - T2 level.

29 May 2016/Skakavac Waterfall: Departure at 8 am from the hotel. Getting to Nahorevo hill, from there we walk to the water Skakavac. Lunch break at one of the local families, tasting home made food. Skakavac is among the highest waterfalls in the Balkans, 98 m high. Return to Sarajevo at 6 pm. T1 - K1 level. 

30 May 2016: Return to Vienna (early flight is available, to arrive before work!)

Technical requirements :
T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Lugged-sole Alpine boots, min 30 liter backpack, rain gear, hiking poles, hiking clothes.Water containers for a minimum of 1 liters
Transport Details :

Austrian Airlines flies to Sarajevo twice a day (if booked at least one month prior, return tickets go for 220 EUR). There are options for cheaper flights via Zagreb and Belgrade (150-170 EUR). There are Eurolines buses leaving once per day from VIB to Sarajevo and back (return ticket is 100 EUR), link to www.buslinien.at/de

AIRPORT TRANSFER: airport transfer can be arranged to and from the airport.

Hotel we used last year was www.hb35.ba in the Old Town but there are cheaper boutique hotels for 30 EUR with breakfast, like Residence Mahala (book via booking.com).
