Description :

As a follow up to the skitouring course for beginners organized by Michael I would like to offer an easy skitour. Hoher student is not far from Mürzsteg. The starting point is in Halltal/Höhnbichler, about two hours drive from Vienna. It's an easy tour with a nice view, and since it faces north the snow conditions should still be good. For those who would like to stay for two days, there are a lot of diffent skitouring options in the region, and the possibility to stay at Freinerhof.

Technical requirements :

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths

Physical requirements :

K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down

4 hours (up and down), 800 meters

Equipment :

Skitouring equipment (Skis, skins, ski crampons, ski poles and boots) and avalanche equipment (probe, shovel, beacon)

Transport Details :

You can only go there by car. I have a car and will be leaving from Vienna on saturday morning. If we are more than 4 people we will need a second car.
