Description :

Gentle but probably cold (and maybe snow+ice) day hike from Bad Vöslau to Baden Römertherme, via the lovely Bad Vöslauer Hütte (early lunch) and the Sooser Lindkogel. After the hike, there is the option of going to the Römertherme to warm up afterwards (entry Römertherme €16,60 for 3 hours or €20,40 for a day ticket + €7,80 surcharge for the sauna).

The trip is about 15km, so will probably take about 4-5 hours.

Technical requirements :

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths

Physical requirements :

K2, 4-7 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :

Warm+waterproof clothes incl hat+gloves, good hiking shoes suitable for hiking in snow, drinks (hot+cold), small snacks, Towel+bathing costume for spa

Transport Details :

Travel with train R2323 departing Hauptbahnhof (S-Bahn platform) 9.59 or Meidling 10.07, arriving Bad Vöslau 10.31. Buy a single ticket to Bad Vöslau. Meet in the 2nd carriage from the front (upstairs, if there is an upstairs, and there is room). If we don't meet on the train, we will see each other on the platform at Bad Vöslau.
