Description :

A long but very scenic hike to the Reichenstein in the Eizenerzer Alps. Eizenerz is a 2 hour drive from Vienna, but still accessible in a day.

Ascent from the Hirnalm to the Krumpensee, over the Reichhals and past the Reichensteinhütte to the Eisenerzer Reichenstein summit. After a stop at the Reichensteinhütte, we continue towards Präbichl. At the Grete-Klinger-Steig junction, we head back towards the Krumpensee, and from here back to Hirnalm.

Technical requirements :

T2, Rough areas, broken rocks and boulder fields are not a problem for me. I am sure-footed and free of dizziness

Physical requirements :

K3, 7-10 hours / day; up and down
