Description :

A  hike into the Wienerwald to celebrate the arrival of spring.  

From the main square in Perchtoldsdorf, we will walk into the Foehrenberg Nature Park up to the Kammersteiner Hutte and plan a break there. The Josefswarte is there and provides excellent views of the Danube Valley and Vienna.  From the hut, we'll follow the old Lichtenstein road along the ridge and descend through a small valley, then through some vineyards and back to our start point.

Along the way, we'll hunt for baerlauch to take some springtime back to our home kitchens.

T1, I can move myself surefootedly on trails and narrow foot-paths
Physical requirements :
K1, 2-4 hours / day; up and down

Equipment :
Sturdy shoes; Plastic sack or two for taking home your baerlauch.
Transport Details :

Accessible by public transport. 

Train to Wien Liesing. We will meet outside the Liesing station at 10.15, and then together take a 10.22 bus to Perchtoldsdorf.
